For starters, everyone there is very kind. Michael was extremely friendly and immediately made my fiancé and I feel comfortable about making such a massive (and expensive) decision. We had a bond from the start and I hugely enjoyed learning from him about different cuts, colors, clarity, etcThey aren't like some other stores/jewelers that jump down your throat as soon as you walk in. What I appreciated was that I wasn't being pushed into something I didn't like. I worked directly with Michael start to finish. Michael let me try on various styles, look at many different shapes, and explained to me the grades and sizes of different diamonds which I love, love, loved.
After a couple of visits (some visits alone, some with my mother-in-law/mother, and some with my fiancé) I finally decided on what I wanted and even then I emailed him constantly last minute making changes. The entire time, my madness was received with nothing but patience and professionalism from Michael. Thankfully so, because I have the most perfect ring now! I can't take my eyes off it! I was inspired by a Harry Winston design for my band (nine karats of eternity emerald cut diamonds). He took the design I liked and kicked it up a notch by hand placing an extra karat worth of micro pave diamonds around every single emerald cut diamond. It’s now unique and one-of-a-kind! My engagement ring was designed entirely by Michael and his staff. I told him what I liked (daintiness, micro-pave diamonds, etc) and he came up with a stunning design that I quickly approved. The quality of the work on my engagement ring and my wedding band can be spotted from a mile away. You can tell that a lot of hard work and effort was put into them and that is what I love the most about it. We also designed and purchased my husband’s wedding band from Michael John. It is subtle, classy, yet still has hand placed dazzling diamonds throughout each side of the ring.Michael John truly obtains Harry Winston/Tiffany & Co quality GIA certified diamonds, but sells them to you for a fraction of what the big name designers would sell them to you for. I am so happy to have found this hidden gem of a jeweler (pun intended) and I will only be buying any diamond pieces I will ever own from them for the rest of my life.
I highly recommend any person interested in purchasing a piece of diamond jewelry (NOT just engagement rings) to go to Michael John. They are very honest, reasonable, reliable, and professional.
